Online Hifz Course, Quran Memorization with Certified Hafiz Teachers
Memorizing the Holy Quran is one of the greatest achievements a Muslim can work toward. A Hafiz carries the entire Quran in their heart, something that benefits not just the individual but their whole family for generations. At QuranRoof, our structured online Hifz course makes Quran memorization achievable for students of any age, wherever they happen to be in the world. Our certified Hafiz teachers have guided many students through the full memorization journey. Each student gets a personalized daily plan built around three parts: Sabaq for new lessons, Sabqi for recent revision, and Manzil for older revision, so that once a verse is memorized, it actually stays memorized. Whether it’s a child just starting out, a teenager determined to finish what they’ve started, or an adult who has always wanted to become a Hafiz, there’s a teacher and a plan suited to that goal.

What You Will Learn: Full Hifz Curriculum
Every teacher who runs our Hifz course is a certified Hafiz with an Ijazah, a verified chain of transmission in Quran recitation. Our Hifz teachers have guided a good number of students through the full memorization journey and understand what it actually takes to keep a student consistent over the months and years this path requires.
Phase 1: Pre-Hifz Assessment and Preparation
Before Hifz begins, every student goes through an assessment of their current Quran reading level and Tajweed knowledge. This step matters because a student who reads with mistakes will end up memorizing those same mistakes. For students who need Tajweed correction first, this phase usually takes two to four weeks.
- Assessment of reading fluency and Tajweed standard
- Correction of any Tajweed errors before memorization starts
- Introduction to memorization techniques and daily revision habits
- A realistic Hifz timeline set based on the student’s age, availability, and pace
Phase 2: Active Memorization (Sabaq)
The daily Sabaq is the heart of Hifz. Each day, your teacher assigns a set number of new verses based on what you’ve shown you can handle. Most students start with a smaller portion and build up as their confidence and technique improve.
- A daily new lesson assigned and supervised by your Hafiz teacher
- Makharij and Tajweed checked on every new verse before it’s accepted
- Daily lesson size increased gradually as the student improves
- Starting point usually Juz Amma and shorter Surahs, to build early confidence
Phase 3: Revision System (Sabqi and Manzil)
The revision system is really what separates students who complete Hifz from those who don’t. Our teachers run a three-part revision cycle covering Sabqi (the last seven days of new memorization), Manzil (older memorized portions), and full Para testing, so nothing gets forgotten along the way.
- Daily Sabqi revision of the most recent lessons
- Weekly Manzil revision of older memorized sections
- Monthly full Para testing to confirm retention
- A revision log kept for every student to catch weak verses early
Phase 4: Completion and Dawrah
Once a student has memorized all 30 Paras, they complete a final full Quran revision known as Dawrah, reciting the entire Quran from memory in front of their teacher. It’s a genuinely significant milestone and marks the completion of one of the greatest achievements in Islam.
- A final full Quran Dawrah supervised by the teacher
- A completion note available once the Dawrah is finished successfully
- An ongoing revision program available afterward to maintain Hifz

Frequently Asked Questions About Online Quran Classes
How long does it take to complete Hifz online?
Β It varies quite a bit depending on the student’s age, daily availability, natural pace, and consistency. Young children typically need three to six years of daily study. Motivated teenagers can often finish in two to four years. Adults with limited daily time may need five to eight years. Your teacher sets a realistic, personalized timeline after the initial assessment.
What age is best to start Hifz?
Most students do best starting between ages 7 and 12, when memory capacity tends to be at its strongest. That said, teenagers and adults succeed at this too, as long as they stay committed and consistent. Hifz really comes down to dedication more than age.
Do students need to be fluent in Quran reading before starting Hifz?
Yes. A student needs to read the Quran fluently with correct Tajweed before beginning Hifz. If reading needs work first, we enroll the student in our Quran with Tajweed course before starting memorization. This isn’t a delay; it’s necessary preparation, since a student who memorizes with Tajweed mistakes will carry those mistakes permanently.
How many classes per week are recommended for Hifz?
Β For students serious about completing Hifz, we recommend at least 5 sessions a week, ideally daily. Staying in daily contact with the Quran is what tends to separate students who finish from those who don’t. We offer flexible time slots, including early mornings and evenings, to make daily sessions realistic.
Do you have female Hifz teachers available?
Β Yes. Female students are matched with qualified female Hafiz teachers on request, and this applies across every country we serve.
Is there a free trial for the Hifz course?
Yes. Every student starts with a free 1 week trial, so you can meet your assigned Hafiz teacher and see how they teach before making any commitment.
